How “Repeat” works

Repeat uses your browser microphone, and your browser asks permission first. The clip is sent once for a pronunciation score, then discarded — nothing is stored unless you are signed in and choose to save it.

Privacy for families

No account, no recordings kept, no ads or tracking in the demo. Children should use Say & Spell with a parent, caregiver or clinician, who owns the account and can delete all data at any time. Read the privacy policy.

Phonics — sounds to letters

Hear the sound, find the letter, blend the word

Phonics connects speech practice with early reading. Tap a letter to hear its sound, then blend three sounds into a real word.

Now blend it

Built around practice clinicians already use

Word lists follow widely used core-vocabulary and AAC principles — high frequency needs words first, then people, food, feelings, actions and places. Sound paths (/r/, /s/, /th/, /l/, s-blends), minimal pairs and syllable work mirror common articulation therapy targets, so families can practise between sessions and share a timeline with their SLP.

A practice companion — it does not diagnose or replace speech therapy.

Three ways Say & Spell helps

No pressure, no timers. Just gentle practice that meets you where you are.

Make individual sounds

Focus on sounds like “r,” “s,” “th,” and “l” with clear models and repetition.

Practice words and phrases

Build real-world confidence by practicing words and short phrases aloud.

Break words into syllables

Split words into manageable parts so they feel easier to say and spell.

What people say

Real moments from families, adults, and professionals who practise with Say & Spell.

My son couldn't get through 'river' without shutting down. Say & Spell let him hear it, tap it out beat by beat, and try again — without anyone rushing him. The first time he spelled a whole word and the screen lit up, he looked at me and said, 'I did it.' This app gave him his voice back, one syllable at a time.

Marisol R.

Mom of a 6-year-old with apraxia of speech

After my stroke, I lost words I'd known for sixty years. Say & Spell didn't treat me like a child. It met me where I was, patient and steady, and let me practise the words I actually need every day. Eight months in, I ordered my own coffee. That felt like getting myself back.

Walter K.

Stroke survivor

I knew the words in my head, but my mouth wouldn't follow. The pronunciation feedback told me exactly how close I was — not right or wrong, just 'almost there.' Hearing myself improve, word by word, changed how I speak in meetings. For the first time, I'm not afraid to talk.

Priya N.

Software engineer and English learner

I'm careful about what I recommend. Say & Spell doesn't replace therapy — it walks beside it. I assign sounds and words, families practise at home, and the timeline shows me exactly what happened between sessions. My clients arrive more confident, and we spend our time going forward instead of back.
